Coffee Loft Braunschweig: Our Experience with Egg Drop, Smoothies & More
The Coffee Loft in Braunschweig had been on our to-do list for quite a while, after we kept coming across cool TikTok videos about it. On a day trip to Braunschweig, it was finally time. We parked the car, got the e-scooters ready and went on a relaxed ride through the city centre.

A beautiful loft atmosphere in the heart of Braunschweig
The moment we walked in, we noticed how much effort has gone into the interior. The design is super clean and modern, almost like a fancy, tidied-up loft. There is a minimalist counter in a concrete look with a warmly glowing “COFFEE LOFT” sign, stylish dark wooden tables and comfy padded armchairs everywhere.
The big glass fronts let in loads of light, and while you sit back and relax, you get a lovely view out onto the terrace. Large green houseplants bring a really lovely freshness to the room. The delicate table decorations with crystal vases and dried flowers fit the cosy overall picture perfectly.
A treat for the eyes and the palate
We ordered a strawberry-banana smoothie, a Marapeach Iced Tea and the egg drop sandwich with avocado and salmon.
The sandwich arrived at the table with a creamy sauce and a small side salad, and it was an absolute dream both in looks and in flavour.
Gina is always sceptical about smoothies because she doesn’t like fruit chunks or seeds in them. The Coffee Loft does a great job here: the smoothie was ultra-creamy and perfectly blended.
Everything was incredibly tasty and a real treat. One thing is certain for us: after such a successful break, we will definitely love coming back!
Our verdict on Coffee Loft Braunschweig
For us, the Coffee Loft was exactly the right break during our e-scooter tour through Braunschweig. What we loved most was the mix of modern interior design, a relaxed atmosphere and the slightly more unusual food.
The egg drop sandwich in particular was not only a real eye-catcher, it also won us over with its flavour. And that of all things the smoothie got Gina so excited, even though she is usually pretty critical about the consistency, is something we probably wouldn’t have expected beforehand either.
Whenever we are out and about in central Braunschweig again, we can absolutely imagine stopping by once more.
